Portobello Market

London was so wonderful!  I only wish I had more time.  While the museums, palaces and gardens are definitely worth a visit the markets are not to be missed.  First stop was Portobello Market that claims to be the World's Largest Antique Market.

Booths were filled with beautiful collections ranging from phones and furs to stamps and compasses.
The streets can get pretty crowded so I recommend arriving early.
I was tempted to purchase some of the old keys at this booth and use them at the wedding but they were a little pricey.  I did get a cake knife for 15 pounds that I will have engraved with our initial and wedding date.

On Vacation!

I will be in London until Monday minus a computer so this will be my last post until I return. I can't wait to share photos from the wonderful markets, palaces and museums!

Happy Friday

I think this is going to be a very exciting weekend! Tomorrow I am picking up a pair of vintage chairs that I found on Craig's List for $75. They need a little painting and some upholstery work but they will be a perfect replacement for my Ikea couch. After that I am going home to see my brother who has just come home from a semester in London. He has a bunch of goodies that he picked up for me while travelling through Europe - and he has some pretty good taste for a guy! While home my mom and I will be working on some DIY wedding projects. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I should have some great pictures for you on Monday!
